Joint Commission
The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations
will conduct unannounced accreditation surveys of Jackson Hospital
Affiliates owned hospitals. The purpose of the survey will be to
evaluate each hospitals compliance with nationally established
Joint Commission standards. The survey results will be used to
determine whether, and the conditions under which, accreditation
should be awarded the organization. Joint Commission standards deal
with organizational quality of care issues and the safety of the
environment in which care is provided.
You have the right to address any concerns about patient care and safety in the hospital that the hospital has not addressed.
Step 1: We encourage you to contact the hospital's management. You can typically do this by calling the hospital's main switchboard and asking for the administrator on call.
Step 2: If concerns cannot be resolved through the hospital, you are encouraged to contact Jackson Hospital Affiliates or the Joint Commission's Office of Quality Monitoring to report any concerns or register complaints about a Joint Commission-accredited healthcare organization.
